It's no picnic dressing vintage in the Midwest during the fall and winter. You can either stick to your guns and freeze in your petticoats or give up and wear giant sweaters and jeans (I've had some of those days, so there's no shame). It just feels like you can't completely dress and be yourself because of the outrageous temperatures, so I've been working on finding and testing out some retro options to keep you warm this season!
I've seen swing trousers many times but I just didn't think they would look good on me, but really they grew on me and I love them. You can still have your high waisted fit with these, along with pockets, and if it's really cold they're flared enough that you can wear some thick tights underneath for extra warmth! So here are the Herringbone Swing Trousers I got from Unique Vintage.
I really love herringbone, and it's especially beautiful as a subtle pattern for these pants.
They're just as comfortable as they look! And this color goes with everything, it's a perfect piece to start with.
Here are some more trousers from Unique Vintage that are just as gorgeous as these!
I really love the houndstooth print, but I'm a sucker for black and white patterns. Since I got my first pair of trousers I immediately needed more, so I will certainly be picking some more out and posting them!
I hope these keep you cozy and cute, you gorgeous retro vixens! I'll be posting some tips for layering soon, keep an eye out. Catch you dolls later!
